A Danish fighter pilot has taken what is being described by some as the 'best selfie ever.' The photo, actually a video screenshot, was taken from a cockpit of a F-16 fighter jet at the moment a missile was released from the aircraft. The screenshot was initially posted by The Royal Danish Air Force in October 2012. It is only now coming to prominence however, following increased discussion about the selfie-craze following this year's Oscars. Credit: The Royal Danish Air Force

You will not belive this .... This guy was simply driving round between people on his jet powered bike. It has a small jet engine mounted on the back. A danish firm makes these. Simjet i think they are called.
I was shooting drone footage of the historic site called 'Hammershus' on the island of Bornholm when all of the sudden two fighter-jets appeared. I was flying around 100meters above sea level and I immediately lowered my altitude when I noticed the jets coming in fast. When I saw them break off, I turned the drone to see if I could catch a glimpse of them... here's that clip. According to the news later that day, the Danish fighter jets were there to scare off a Russian jet that had entered Danish airspace illegally. They apparently do that regularly to test off our air space. Shot on the DJI Phantom 4 on a very windy day - around 12-15m/sec wind at 100m altitude.
A US government jet landed in Scandinavia to extradite whistleblower Edward Snowden in 2013. The Danish government revealed the mission of the jet, which UK enthusiasts saw flying through Scottish airspace. Denmark's justice minister said the airplane in Copenhagen most likely was waiting for Russia to hand over Snowden. Right after the plane landed, the FBI called on Scandinavian police forces to arrest Snowden and hand him over for extradition. The twin-engined Gulfstream aircraft had previously been used to fly muslim cleric Abu Hamza to the US from the UK in 2012. It had permission to stay in Copenhagen for about a week in June 2013. http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/feb/05/edward-snowden-us-government-jet-wait-copenhagen-denmark http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by...
This video shows you that Boeing Challenges Denmark In Court Over Its F-35 Fighter Jet Selection. Boeing has lodged legal action against Denmark Defense officials for refusing to fully disclose documents, showing how it evaluated competing fighter jets before it selected Lockheed Martin F-35 fighter jet. “It’s been almost six months since we requested the documents, and the ministry has not responded as required,” said Tom Bell, a senior vice-president of global sales and marketing with Boeing's Defense, Space and Security unit. Denmark picked Lockheed Martin's F-35 advanced tactical fighter and became a partner in the Joint Strike Fighter program over Boeing's Super Hornet and the Eurofighter group's Typhoon, which is made by a group that includes Airbus and British Aerospace, Puget Sound...

Europe's last airline MD-87, now retired already! The McDonnell Douglas MD-80 is a family of twin-engine, short- to medium-range, single-aisle commercial jet airliners. The MD-80 series was lengthened and updated from the DC-9. The airliner family can seat from 130 to 172 passengers depending on variant and seating configuration. The MD-80 series was introduced into commercial service on October 10, 1980 by Swissair. The series includes the MD-81, MD-82, MD-83, MD-87, and MD-88. These all have the same fuselage length except the shortened MD-87. The MD-80 series was followed into service in modified form by the MD-90 in 1995 and the MD-95/Boeing 717 in 1999. In January 1985 McDonnell Douglas announced it would produce a shorter fuselage MD-80 variant, designated MD-87 (DC-9-87), which wo...
